VitalFood Healthy Cooking Lessons And Recipes Teach The Secrets Of Eating Right With Limited Time, Budget, And Cooking Skills.
What keeps you from healthy eating...
It's amazing that we live in the most over-fed and under-nourished culture in history. Life today keeps us too busy to have the time to shop for, prepare, and eat high quality home cooked meals. Technology also gives food manufacturers the ability to create food that looks pretty, tastes ok, and stays on grocery store shelves a long time. But the food manufacturers and fast food chains are not interested in your health... they are all about profit.
On top of that, additives are put into manufactured foods that make you want to eat more... and diet foods and drinks are now known to both make you gain weight and load toxins into your body. The amount of misinformation about diet is unbelievable, and it's no wonder that you can't figure out how to eat right.
VitalFood teaches a total system of both nutritional and kitchen management, for you to master your diet… once and for all.
The bigger issue with nutrition is “kitchen management”… from the shopping list all the way through cleaning up after the meal.
- Shopping with focus and organization
- Organizing food in your pantry and refrigerator
- Meal preparation and cooking
- Cleaning up and storing the leftovers

VitalFood Teaches Simple Healthy Cooking Recipes With Time Saving Techniques
VitalFood is a custom-tailored program based on deliberate, methodical changes that become permanent building blocks. It includes the mental aspect of nutrition, your body chemistry and lifestyle, and how to most efficiently and quickly get, prepare, and consume quality food.
Every step is based on common sense; the awareness of choices, the ability to suspend self-judgment on those occasions when you eat poorly, and the recognition that you are only the next meal away from getting back on track.
To talk about food, actually discuss nutrition, first requires some “unlearning…” and also requires review of current life conditions that we (and the planet) now find ourselves in. Food is both individual and collective - our individual lifestyles and the way food is reflected in that, and the overall condition of the environment, how it’s affected by the nature of our food consumption.
VitalFood has bountiful benefits:
- Understanding food as a drug will make sense out of how you use food.
- The focus is on improving and maintaining daily biochemistry.
- Improving your nutritional decision-making through “Conscious Eating.” This ensures a permanent end to nutritional deception.
- Making meal planning and execution fun, efficient, convenient and tasty through proper shopping, storing, preparation, and cooking of food.
- Recognizing food as proteins, carbohydrates, and fats.
- Nutritional basics applied to fast paced, time sensitive lifestyles.
- Learning a relative value system to understand and measure carbohydrate consumption.
- Recipes for making healthy food into soup, protein drinks, pancakes, “Health ‘O’ Meals”, and other food combinations.
- “Making food your own” means to be at cause over it versus being at the effect of it. Behavior modification begins here.
- Reaching and maintaining your ideal weight.
- Once you know the VitalFood system, you can modify and practice it for life.
Nutrition Starts With Understanding Food Is A Drug
The more we understand the body, the more it becomes apparent that food is a drug, because all the evidence points in that direction. Here is how to approach the thought that “food is a drug.” First let's consider what a “drug delivery system” means. All drugs have an efficacious zone in which they most thrive in the body. That way, they don't kill you (side effects), and the disease you are taking them for doesn't kill you either. The idea is that the drug enters slowly, is potent enough to stay a long time, and exits easily out of the body. Food operates precisely the same way.
Effective nutrition optimizes your bio-chemistry
Now that we've established that food is a drug, let’s look at how we can optimize our bio-chemistry; successfully self-manage the chemical factory inside each of us. Our immune systems are largely functional based on the condition and capacity of our biochemistry. It is at the chemical level that the body first fights off many diseases. In addition, when our energy is inconsistent or our mental acuity comes and goes, this is a direct effect of biochemistry.
There are basically three foods. Everything you eat, once you swallow it, is a protein, a carbohydrate, or a fat. Yes, there are also vitamins, minerals, fiber, and water to consider, but that is what’s in the food versus what the food is.
Proteins, carbohydrates, and fats; each interact differently and have different purposes within the body. The other factor is the rate of ingestion. Ideally it’s putting a relative amount of protein, carbs, and fats, in your body at regular intervals. This is the first rule of thumb. As you learn what foods are proteins and what foods are carbohydrates, etc., it will become apparent how easy it is to combine foods of these types together in a way that's fast, simple, and gets the job done.
VitalFood teaches that at the most basic level, you just need to be concerned that each time you eat you get proteins, fats, and carbohydrates.
Learn how to assign a dollar value to carbohydrates
Nutrients required by the body fall into six categories: Water, carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, and minerals. The VitalFood system puts a “dollar value” on the carbohydrate foods you eat. A misnomer about food is when people talk about not eating sugar – that is impossible. All carbohydrates reduce down to sugar… including vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower, for example. The difference is in two aspects: One is in the concentration of sugar; the other is how quickly it enters your bloodstream.
So while broccoli has vitamins, minerals and fiber, it also has sugar – it’s just that the sugar is less concentrated and has less immediate impact on your body and its biochemistry than a donut or ice cream would. So when somebody says they are “off sugar” or “I don’t eat sugar,” they may not add table sugar to their food or eat sugar- exclusive foods like cakes and ice cream, but if they consume breads, grains, rice, pasta, fruits, or vegetables, they still get plenty of it.
The dollar value we assign to food is independent of the price of the food itself. Rather, it establishes a relationship to the sugar in the food and how fast it enters the blood stream. In nutrition this is referred to as the glycemic index, which Vitalogy uses as a guide to assign a dollar value to the food.
Re-learn the art of cooking...
Most people learn how to cook with the idea that they are going to spend time in the kitchen cooking every single day. Ha, that's impossible for most people.
And let's face it, when you're too tired or too busy to spend 45 minutes to an hour in the kitchen, it's a whole lot easier to pop a manufactured dinner in the microwave, go to a restaurant where someone else can cook and clean the dishes, or pop in and out of the closest fast food joint.
Preparing and cooking meals three times a day is the wrong strategy...
VitalFood teaches you an entirely new strategy for having great foods to eat with the right balance of protein, fats, and carbs, and with a minimum of time to shop, prepare, cook, and clean up.
Instead, think of “cooking for camping,” cooking for a week in just a few hours, based on four basic meal designs:
